Bronwyn Bancroft (b. 1958) is an Indigenous Bandjalang artist of the Djanbun clan. She is known for her work as a painter and designer. Bancroft’s work is known for its vibrant colour and abstract organic shapes, representing the sacredness of nature. Popular representations and subject matter include figurative and plant forms, geometric structures and intricate patterns.
Bancroft’s work is exhibited across Australian collections, most notably at the National Gallery of Victoria and the Art Gallery of NSW.
