Celia Perceval

B. 1949

Celia Perceval, daughter of Australian artist John Perceval and Mary Boyd, has painted all her life. She is a traveller in spirit, periodically returning to the Australian landscape to paint en plein air. The results are visceral and immersive, portraits of the country’s wilderness.

Perceval has exhibited since 1972 in Australia and overseas. She is represented at Bendigo Regional Gallery and New England Regional Gallery, as well as in numerous private collections. An heir to the Antipodeans, Perceval’s work is an expression of what lies beyond the beaten track.
