This poignant portrait is the product of two years spent along the Kunene River in Africa. It’s creator, the intrepid photographer Christopher Rimmer set about documenting Africa’s last remaining tribes as they negotiate impeding modernism. The results are proud, immersive portrayals of an ancient culture.

While the diffused backdrop may give them an otherworldly quality, make no mistake - these works are from here and now.
