Pro Hart was born Kevin Charles Hart in the outback town of Broken Hill, New South Wales. His art practice was vast and included performance, sculpture, drawing and painting. He is widely regarded for his paintings of the Australian landscape that capture the true essence of the outback. He is also considered the father of the Australian outback painting movement. Pro Hart's work is a part of both national and international collections including the National Gallery of Australia and many Australian state and university galleries.
