Sadie Chandler (1963-) is a Melbourne-based multi-disciplinary artist renowned for her paintings, works on paper, sculptures, digital animations, and immersive wall-paper installations. Her signature style has evolved in response to the over-saturation of image-based materials in advertising, social networks and mass media. Her works have been described as ‘abstracted representational with a quirky, intriguing edge.’
Chandler has garnered curatorial and collectors’ following early in her career, and her works have been acquired by the National Gallery of Australia, National Gallery of Victoria, many state and regional institutions, as well as corporate and notable private collections in Australia and abroad. The artist is currently represented by Charles Nodrum Gallery in Melbourne.
