Tim Storrier

(b. 1949)

Tim Storrier is an Australian artist and painter. His work explores the Australian landscape in an ongoing attempt to capture its changeable moods - its subtlety, and its vibrancy. Since winning the prestigious Sulman Prize in 1968, at age 19, Storrier has continuously built on this early achievement to become one of Australia’s most respected and sought after contemporary artists. In 2012 he won the Archibald Prize and in 2017, won the Doug Moran Prize.

Storrier has been represented in many prestigious exhibitions, including the Australian Bicentennial Exhibition in London in 1988. His work is held in all major Australian art museums, and the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
