Eclipse: An Exhibition of Contemporary Photography

Eclipse was an exhibition featuring artists Christopher Rimmer and Fabrice Bigot from ATFA and artists Sophia Szilagyi and Pesky from Port Jackson Press Australia. Rimmer provided us with images of Luna Park - with a twist. Bigot offered up his strangely seductive studies of suburban botanics. Together, both artists take snaps that cloak their subject matter - evoking the kind of voyeurism reserved for photography. “Modern Romantic” artist Szilagyi included prints of hands, resting on her unique technique of digital manipulation. Pesky pitched shot and edited profiles of abstracted Smith Street buildings. The results were unnerving - like trying to see inside a closed fist.
