Among his most well-known works, the Alice series sees Blackman reimagine Lewis Carroll's childhood classic. Under Blackman however, the myth is undercut with the personal. Associating Alice with his then wife Barbara, he sees Alice's disorientating tumble through Wonderland as akin to his wife's experience as a person with deteriorating eyesight. From the 1956 painting, this work epitomises Blackman's uncanny ability to merge the sentimental and serious.

'Alice in Wonderland' is printed onto canvas, comprised of the finest quality museum-grade materials, hand signed by the artist on the front, limited in edition to 35, framed ready to hang and accompanied by a Letter of Provenance.
