Luke Cummins is an Aboriginal Australian artist of Kuku Yalanji descent. Born in Cunnamulla in western Queensland, his work is informed by the traditional stories told to him by his father and uncles.
In ‘Tamara: Guardian-Guingun, Cape York GoGu-Yelanji’, Cummins presents five pain-giving spirits. Rich with culture, history and spirituality, this work is a call to care for Country.
For collectors of Aboriginal art, ‘Tamara: Guardian-Guingun, Cape York GoGu-Yelanji’ is a genuine treasure.
