Like visual music, Alun Leach-Jones’s work is a symphony of shape and colour. He was among the artists christened at the landmark 1968 exhibition ‘The Field’ at the National Gallery of Australia (now Victoria).
After a fruitful life both here and overseas, Alun’s work still rings of poetry. Known for his gentle disposition and meticulous hand, he was among the artists who - with a hard edge - shifted the course of Australian art history. For collectors of abstract, vibrant and cool art, this work must be seen to be heard.
