Greg Mallyon’s work often beholds the landscape from above. Like a bird, he soars across the land, capturing its magnitude with both reverence and panache. In ‘Qantas Over Outback Australia’, Mallyon transforms Australia’s deserts into abstracted patterns. Like ants congregating over a dropped scrab, rock formations gather and thrum. The lines between big and small waiver.

Mallyon's work can be found in various corporate, private and public collections both in Australia and overseas including Charles Darwin University, University of Melbourne, Artbank, Qantas, ANZ Bank, BP Australia and Government House in Darwin. This work will enliven collections of landscapes, prints and contemporary Australian art.
