This photograph was taken on 3 February 1974 at South Melbourne Cricket Ground during the live concert by Rod Stewart and his band, The Faces (Ronnie Wood (guitar), Tetsu Yamauchi (bass), Ian McLagan (keyboards), and Kenny Jones (drums). The concert was a part of the band’s tour of New Zealand, Australia, and Japan from late January to late February 1974. The year the photograph was taken is quite significant, as the following year, in 1975, Rod Stewart and Ronnie Woods had ended their six-year collaboration and parted their way, with Stewart pursuing a solo career and Woods focusing on his collaboration with The Rolling Stones.

The present photograph is a must-have for every Rod Stewart fan and collectors of original vintage memorabilia.
