As part of an exhibition centred on artistic collaboration, Clayton Tremlett and Marte Newcombe joined forces to craft a striking image. Skillfully juxtaposing two influential facets of culture, namely Russian propaganda and the iconic figure of David Bowie, these accomplished printmakers have raised thought-provoking questions about the value attributed to popular culture and what possesses the capacity to endure prominently in our collective memory.

An innovator in printmaking techniques, Tremlett has exhibited extensively across Australia and is represented in the National Gallery of Australia, Geelong Gallery, Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery, Bendigo Art Gallery among other public and private collections nationally and internationally. For enthusiasts of the art of printmaking, Tremlett is a rewarding find.
